ဂ်ပန္ႏိုင္ငံရဲ႕ လူဦးေရအနည္းဆံုးကြ်န္း ျဖစ္တဲ့ Shikoku မွာရွိျပီး Nagoru လို႔ အမည္ရတဲ့ ရြာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
တစ္ခ်ိန္တုန္းက လူဦးေရ မ်ားျပားတဲ့ စည္ကားသိုက္ျမိဳက္တဲ့ ရြာေလးပါ။
ေနာက္ေတာ့ Osaka သုိ႔မဟုတ္ Tokyo သုိ႔ သြားျပီး ေရႊ႕ေျပာင္းအလုပ္လုပ္ ၾကတာေၾကာင့္ ရြာဟာ တျဖည္းျဖည္းနဲ႔ လူနည္းသြားပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ဆံုးေတာ့ လူဦးေရ ၁၀ ေယာက္ေက်ာ္သာသာက်န္ရွိေတာ့တဲ့ အထိ ျဖစ္သြားပါတယ္။
ဒါေၾကာင့္ တိုကိ်ဳမွာ သြားအလုပ္လုပ္တဲ့ ရြာခံ အမ်ိဳးသမီး တစ္ဦးျဖစ္သူ Tsukimi ဆိုသူဟာ ရြာျပန္ေရာက္ လာျပီး ျဖစ္ပ်က္ေနမႈကို ျမင္ေတာ့ စိတ္မေကာင္းပါဘူး။ ဒါေၾကာင့္လူေတြကိုအစားထိုးမယ့္ အရုပ္မ်ားဆက္တိုက္ ျပဳလုပ္ပါေတာ့တယ္။ ပံုမွာ ျမင္ေတြ႔ ရသလိုပါပဲ။ ရြာမွာ စုစုေပါင္း အရုပ္ ၃၅၀ ေက်ာ္ အထိရွိသြားျပီး ဆက္တိုက္လည္း ျပဳလုပ္ေနပါတယ္။
ဘတ္္စ္ကားဂိတ္၊ စာသင္ေက်ာင္း၊ အိမ္ထဲ၊ အိမ္ျပင္ တို႔မွာ ထားရွိထားတာကို ယခုလို ျမင္ေတြ႔ ရပါတယ္။ ေန႔ခင္းဘက္ပဲ လည္လည္၊ ညဘက္ပဲ လည္လည္ တစ္ေယာက္တည္းဆုိရင္အေတာ္ေလး စိတ္ေျခာက္ျခား ဖြယ္ရာေကာင္းမွာပါ။ သုိ႔ေပမယ့္ ႏိုင္ငံျခားသားမ်ား တကူးတက လာေရာက္ လည္ပတ္လ်က္ ရွိတဲ့ ကြ်န္း တစ္ခု ျဖစ္သြား ပါတယ္။ အရုပ္ဖန္တီးသူ အမ်ိဳးသမီးရဲ႕ ေကာင္းမွုေၾကာင့္ Nagoru ဟာ ဂ်ပန္ႏိုင္ငံက လည္ပတ္သူမ်ားတဲ့ ကြြ်န္းရြာေလးတစ္ခု ျဖစ္သြားပါေတာ့တယ္။
The Village in Japan Where There are More Dolls than People
On the island of Shikoku, Japan lies the village of Nagoru – a place where life-size dolls outnumber people.
It used to be an active community, but over the years many Nagoru
locals moved to Osaka or Tokyo for jobs, and the village shrank to just a
few dozen people. One of the locals that left was Ayano Tsukimi, but
after years away she came back to the quaint place. In memory of her
friends and family that lived there before, she began to make dolls
based on their lives.
The first doll she made was actually a
scarecrow, fashioned in the form of her father. Soon she began
fashioning new ones in the form of field workers. Then there was a doll
at the bus stop and some at the entrance of the town to attract visitors
and to take photos with. Eventually, the dolls gathered plenty of
attention for Nagoru, and now with over 350 of Tsukimi’s creations in
residence, many come to visit the “Village of the Dolls.”
Basically, Tsukimi is trying to make Nagoro a unique attraction of sorts to help boost tourism and awareness of the forgotten town. Though these curious dolls are regarded in some cases as creepy, Tsukimi hopes that people will at least notice them. It is even encouraged to go on Google Maps (if you can find it!) on the street view section to see these wonderful creations at your own pace..if you don’t happen to stumble upon the beautiful Iya Valley on your own curious time!
